I gave a 4 star as it is smaller than I thought. It would be big enough for pasta for a small family. I wish it was bigger.. I like it,produce good.

Totally into this strainer right now. Strong enough to use for steaming my vegetables over heated water, as well as sturdy enough to put in the sink and drain the fat off of my burger that I cook for spaghetti. That handles don't get hot when I'm pouring stuff in and while you're using as a steamer I recommend picking up with hot pads. This is a stainless steel 3 quart strainer. This is a very easy colander to maintain. This is 9 inches across, so it is not a huge strainer. This colander does come with a guarantee making it an even better buy.

To start with the only thing I can think of that would improve this colander is adding silicone wraps to the handles. Since it is all stainless steel if you are straining something that was boiled it can transfer the heat to the handles and could possibly cause a burn.

With that being said this Colander is great for a lot of kitchens. It is not a huge stainer to it will not rinse 3 heads of lettuce at once. It is designed for a small family use, say a house hold of 4 members. I know it works great for the 3 of us. It will hold 2 boxes of strained Kraft Mac & Cheese noodles. The strainer is full with 2 boxes but it does get the job done. It also works great for washing fresh fruits and vegetables off under running water.

The Colander being stainless steel makes it a piece of cake to keep in good working order. Being stainless steel makes it capable of being run through a dish washer if you would like to clean it that way. I use warm soapy water and let it air dry in the rack.

I like to have a good nice durable strainer in my kitchen well this one fits into that catagory this colander is a decent size it is perfect for me to strain different types of pasta noodles and to also strain my hamburger meat I like this one compared to others that I have bought since this one has smaller holes I not longer have to worry about my hamburger meat falling through the holes since I chop mine up pretty small sometimes. This has decent sized handles in both sides to help grip the strainer and be able to pour the stuff back into the pan easily. The strainer has a flat round surface on the bottom to help it sit flat so it does not tip over this is lightweight i was able to wash it in the dishwasher with no trouble at all.I will see this strainer lasting me quite a while definatly so much better than them plastic ones that I tossed away now that i have this one. Overall I am pleased with this strainer.

The colander is about 3 quarts. I was sent the colander complimentary in exchange of my honest review. It came wrapped in plastic, with no instructions on washing or whether it is dishwasher safe! The steel is not the best quality and had small scratches in some places.

To use it is simple and it stands pretty well on the base. However, it does not necessarily drain all the water from vegetables or pasta. This is attributed to the fact there are no holes at the intersection of the base and the wall. Water can accumulate there and comes along with the pasta while cooking!

The size is good for making pasta for two, but for more people I would definitely not recommend this one. The handles are sturdy and it easily fits into cabinets given the small size. Not the best one for the price!

This colander works well. I make a lot of pasta, mainly because I have a lot of it and it's my favorite food. I can hold a little more than a pound of pasta in this colander and the handles are great and have kept my hands from getting burnt from water while straining. This colander is also great to use for rinsing off veggies and fruits!

These are guaranteed to have minimum rust and are dishwasher safe. These hold three quarts and are great for pasta lovers or veggie lovers the holes are not to big So there is minimal food loss. Since this came with two I use one for my food and one to clean my fish tank marbles this works really well and is easy to clean afterwards the handles are decently wide and comfortable to use. Nice size colander. I was able to get enough pasta in there to feed four. I like that it's standing with its platform at the bottom. It's easier to strain in my opinion. I always get burned when I strain water lol I'm clumsy. The bottom really helped stay put. The handles are sturdy and give a nice amount of space to get a firm grip. I have washed it and haven't experienced any rusting or discoloring.

This is a nice colander. I like it for many reasons. It is a 3 quart one, so a perfect size for John & Me. It has wide handles and big ones at that. This makes for easy holding. I would say that this is a medium size Colander by Pro Chef Kitchen Tools it holds 3 quarts, I have large and smaller plastic colanders but this size is so useful it is the perfect size for washing vegetables and draining pasta and is a kitchen essential. I love the colander. It's my first stainless steel one and it's so much better than the cheap plastic ones that I have bought at the local store. It has a nice weight to it. I have been using this colander to wash the lettuce harvested from my garden and occasionally for elbow macaroni noodles. It would not work for thinner pastas, however. It is as pictured, so be aware that the holes are a little larger and spaced pretty far apart.
I have not had any problems with the product so far but I will update if needed.

This is a really nice stainless steel colander and is fairly heavy duty. I really like the size as it comes in handy for so many things. I've found that it's perfect for setting in the sink to rinse my fruits and vegetables. I'm no fan of plastic for over time it holds bacteria and breaks down this I feel good about putting my food into. I love to cook and one thing that is a must for every kitchen is a good quality colander! I've had a plastic colander for the last few years and you can sure tell when you look at it that's it's been through quite a bit. I normally use plastic colander so I when I came across this stainless steel one I was excited to try it mainly they looks nice and the strainer has holes coming armed to stripes of my old one . The colander looks small but it's enough to for a small family as I make little pasta and veggies for which this colander is enough. The handles and whole unit looks sturdy and well made . This colander is small but holds the things I use it great! I like that it has a little stand so when it's in the sink its not just sitting in the water used to clean the items. This Stainless steel colander, by Pro Chef Kitchen Tools is durable, high quality, and because it is Stainless steel it will never rust. It is a 3 quart strainer, so it is a little smaller than my other 5 quart colander. It's a great size for draining boxed mac and cheese, pasta and vegetables for my family. When i make fresh mozzarella cheese, this colander fits over my bowl better, so i use it to drain the whey from the cheese without having to worry about liquid pouring down the side of the bowl. It is dishwasher safe, so cleaning is easy.

i think it's a great colander for regular kitchen use, i've never worked in a professional kitchen so i can't say whether it is truly 'professional' quality. Very nice colander to have to wash and strain small jobs. I do wish the colander was a little bigger because of my needs but other than that its great!
